Example 1: One-off Reminder of Learning Path Courses

Create a new message and choose Dynamic as the message type, which enables you to set conditions for sending the message. You can also check the Auto archive box, which means the message will be automatically archived after sending. Add Learning unit completed to Schedule condition and check the Not finished box.

Add a topic and write a message.

Add recipients:

Add Recipients by clicking on Add. The users are added according to the learning paths, by choosing a learning path from the list and clicking on Add selected. A reminder is sent to those who have not completed the courses in the learning path in question.

Example 2: Completion Expiration Reminder

Create a new message and choose Dynamic. Add the number of days in Schedule condition (number of days before the expiration date the reminder will be sent) and choose Before progress expires from the drop-down menu. The user will receive an expiration reminder according to the schedule you specified. In this example, the reminder will be sent one week before course expiration.

Please note that you need to define the period of validity in the course properties for this message to be sent. Additionally, you need to be using a learning portal version that supports this feature. Add recipients:

By clicking on a learning path name on the list, you can navigate to the Learning path structure tab, where you can choose a specific phase or a course to which your reminder message will apply.

When the message is ready, choose Enabled and save the message, and it will be sent to the recipients.
