Interactive video features allow you to define stopping points and add content to your video.
Interactive features can be turned on in the video component settings with the "Interactive video" toggle. (Please note that interactive features are currently only available for media bank videos.) To ensure that the video actions are clearly displayed on the course page, you should increase the size of the video in the "Page settings" tab.
When interactivity is selected, a video preview is displayed below each video item, which allows you to find the part of the video you want to target and create a new video action for it. The time of the video action can be further adjusted in the "Video current time" field or under each video action editor.
Only one video action is displayed at a time and you can navigate between video actions using the drop-down menu, which lists all the actions you have added in chronological order. You can also navigate to the video action of your choice from the preview timeline. In the video action editor, you can change the action type (text content or hotspots) and edit time and content.
Text content
If you selected text content as the video action type, at the selected time the video will pause and a window will open over the video showing the action title, text content and image.
Hotspots
When the video is paused, the hotspots you have configured in the settings are displayed on top of the video. The settings work like in the standard Hotspots component.
